Jiangsu’s appeal extends beyond its famous Jiangnan water towns. This five-day itinerary connects Lianyungang, Huai’an, Yancheng and Suqian, combining coastal scenery, Grand Canal heritage, wetland ecology and local culture. From Huaguo Mountain and the Grand Canal to the Yellow Sea wetlands and Suqian’s natural and cultural attractions, the journey offers a closer look at a different side of the province, showcasing the distinctive landscapes and rich cultural heritage of northern Jiangsu.

ภูเขาฮวากั่วซานเป็นหนึ่งในแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่สาคัญของเมืองเหลียนหยุนกัง และมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับตานานจากวรรณกรรมเรื่องไซอิ๋ว ภูเขาแห่งนี้ปกคลุมด้วยป่าเขียวชอุ่ม มีจุดเด่น เช่น ถ้าม่านน้า ยอดเขาหยก และถ้าทั้ง 72 แห่ง นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถเดินชมธรรมชาติไปพร้อม ๆ กับสัมผัสเรื่องราวและตานานที่ทาให้ภูเขาฮวากั่วซานเป็นที่รู้จักและอยู่ในความทรงจา
Huaguo Mountain is one of Lianyungang’s best-known mountain attractions and is closely associated with the legendary world of Journey to the West. Lush forests cover its rolling peaks, with highlights including Water Curtain Cave, Jade Maiden Peak and the Seventy-Two Caves. Along the mountain trails, travellers can enjoy both the scenery and the legends that have made Huaguo Mountain so memorable.

From mountain landscapes to the coast, Lian Island Scenic Area reveals another side of Lianyungang. The island combines mountains, bays and sandy beaches, with wide-open views across the Yellow Sea. A leisurely walk along the coast, accompanied by sea breezes and views of the surrounding mountains, offers a refreshing contrast to Huaguo Mountain.

Haizhou Ancient Town offers a glimpse into Lianyungang’s long history through its old streets, traditional buildings and historic neighbourhoods. As an important cultural area of the city, it preserves traces of Haizhou’s past and its changing urban landscape. Strolling through the old town provides a quieter cultural experience after a day of mountain and coastal scenery.

เมื่อมาเยือนเมืองหวยอัน นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถเดินชมเส้นทางวัฒนธรรมคลองหลี่ เพื่อเรียนรู้ความผูกพันธ์ระหว่างเมืองกับสายน้า ในอดีต ย่านชิงเจียงผู่เคยเป็นศูนย์กลางของการคมนาคมทางคลอง จึงมีอาคารเก่าแก่และทิวทัศน์ริมฝั่งน้า ซึ่งแสดงถึงความรุ่งเรืองในอดีต การเดินเลียบคลองทาให้เห็นบทบาทของคลองที่มีต่อการค้า และวิถีชีวิตของชาวหวยอัน ซึ่งยังคงสืบเนื่องมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน
In Huai’an, take a stroll along the Li Canal Cultural Corridor and discover the city’s long connection with water. Qingjiangpu flourished as an important centre of canal transport, leaving behind historic buildings and riverside landscapes. Walking beside the water offers a glimpse of the prosperity once brought by the canal and its lasting influence on everyday life in Huai’an.
🏘️ เมืองโบราณเหอเซี่ย Hexia Ancient Town
เมืองโบราณเหอเซี่ยมีประวัติศาสตร์ยาวนานกว่า 2,000 ปี ยังคงอนุรักษ์ถนนสายเก่า บ้านเรือนแบบดั้งเดิม และทางน้าไว้ได้อย่างดี ในอดีตที่นี่เป็นเส้นทางสาคัญของการขนส่งสินค้าทางคลองรวมทั้งเกลือ ก่อนจะมีชื่อเสียงด้านวรรณกรรม และได้รับสมญญานามว่าเป็น “ถิ่นกาเนิดของเหล่าบัณฑิต” นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถเดินชมตรอกซอกซอย เก่าแก่ ดื่มด่าบรรยากาศและวิถีชีวิตดั้งเดิมของชุมชนริมคลอง
With a history of more than 2,000 years, Hexia Ancient Town retains its old streets, traditional residences and waterways. Once an important route for canal and salt transport, the town later became known for its flourishing literary culture and was celebrated as a “hometown of scholars”. Wandering through its historic lanes offers a glimpse into the traditional life of a canal town.

หวยอันเป็นหนึ่งในแหล่งกาเนิดอาหารหวยหยาง ซึ่งขึ้นชื่อเรื่องการคัดสรรวัตถุดิบอย่างพิถีพิถัน ทักษะการหั่นที่ละเอียดอ่อน และการควบคุมความร้อน อาหารมีรสชาติกลมกล่อม และเน้นรสตามธรรมชาติของวัตถุดิบ การเรียนรู้การปรุงอาหารหวยหยาง จึงเป็นอีกวิธีหนึ่งในการสัมผัสวัฒนธรรมอาหารของหวยอัน ซึ่งได้รับอิทธิพลจากความรุ่งเรืองของการคมนาคมและการค้าทางคลองใหญ่
Huai’an is one of the birthplaces of Huaiyang cuisine, known for its careful selection of ingredients, refined knife skills and precise control of heat. Its dishes are celebrated for their delicate flavours and emphasis on the natural taste of the ingredients. Exploring Huaiyang cuisine is also a delicious way to discover the food culture shaped by Huai’an’s connection with the Grand Canal.

งานหัตถกรรมพื้นบ้านยังคงเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของวิถีชีวิตในเมืองหวยอัน โดยการตัดกระดาษและการทาถุงหอมเป็นงานฝีมือที่มีเอกลักษณ์ การตัดกระดาษอย่างประณีต และเน้นลวดลายที่เป็นมงคล ส่วนการทาถุงหอมใช้ผ้า งานปัก และลวดลายแบบดั้งเดิม นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถทดลองทางานฝีมือชิ้นเล็ก ๆ ด้วยตนเอง เพื่อเรียนรู้ภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นของหวยอัน
Traditional handicrafts remain an important part of everyday culture in Huai’an, with paper-cutting and sachet making among its distinctive folk arts. Paper-cutting uses clean lines and auspicious patterns, while sachets combine fabric, embroidery and traditional motifs. Creating a small handmade piece offers a personal way to experience and remember Huai’an’s local traditions.
