Feature Story: Discovering Hakka Culture in Taiwan
客家人占台湾总人口两成，然而这一族群低调、隐而不显的特性，使他们在人群中难以轻易被辨识。桃园、新竹、苗栗、六堆地区和花东纵谷一带，是台湾客家先民早期移民并落地生根的主要聚集地。刻苦耐劳的客家人，在维护族群传统文化之余，也发展出台湾独有的客家文化，使客家文化成为宝岛深度游的一大主题。
The Hakka people seldom shout about their ethnic identity even though the Hakka population accounts for nearly 20% of Taiwan’s total population. Early Hakka immigrants mainly settled in Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, Liouduei and Huadong Valley. While upholding their traditions, they have also developed a unique culture in Taiwan. Hakka culture is an excellent theme for a meaningful in-depth tour in Taiwan.
