Cover Story:Tales and Trails of Nordic Myths

Elves, giants, and dwarves—these mythical creatures often seen in novels or films—actually originate from ancient Norse mythology. Rooted in the Viking worldview of nature, life, and human nature, this rich tapestry of legends features figures. Although most of the Norse gods met their end in the sagas, their presence still lingers across the Nordic countries. Their essence can be felt in natural wonders like the northern lights and fjords, as well as in cultural landmarks such as Viking ships and museums.
