Lianyungang Journey to the West Mural become a hot “check-in” spot

Since the grand mural of Journey to the West debuted at the underground car park of Lianyungang’s integrated transportation hub this year, the particular spot has become a new attraction that attracts tourists to stop and “check-in”.
The mural series is drawn on six walls near the entrance to the underground car park. The artworks are inspired by themes such as “The Magnificent View of Mt. Huaguo”, “3 Victories Over the White Bone Demoness”, “The Taming of Monk Sha at Liusha River”, “The Road to Scriptures” and “The Ascension of 5 Saints”.
Each mural is hand-drawn using acrylic paints with traditional Chinese mural realistic colouring and brushwork technique, thus achieving great precision in portraying the classical character images and plots of the Journey to the West.
