Creating the “China Vinegar Capital – Zhenjiang” is beneficial to inheritance and innovation, increases the popularity and reputation of Zhenjiang vinegar, helps in brand reconstruction, and leads the growth of the China vinegar industry is conducive to integration and realize the prosperity of the industry and the region. Currently, Zhenjiang has 43 vinegar enterprises, 14 of which are above-designated-size enterprises, with an annual output of more than 300,000 tons of vinegar, accounting for more than 10% of the national total, forming a complete industrial chain of vinegar research and development, production, standard-setting, domestic and international product sales, etc. In 2019, the main business revenue of RMB 3.03 billion was achieved.

In the future, Zhenjiang will improve its support for the vinegar industry, establish and effectively implement the “14th Five-Year” plan for the development of the vinegar industry, optimize the industrial structure, play the role of leading enterprises, and then advance the integrated development of the large, medium, and small-sized enterprises, in order to explore the cultural essence of “Zhenjiang Vinegar”, increase the promotion efforts, and actively cultivate independent brands. Continuously develop new products, guide consumer demands, and increase Zhenjiang vinegar products market share in domestic and international markets.
