Nantong first urban study room attraction, “Haoxi Bookstore”, is now on trial operation. The current opening hours are from 10 am to 5 pm, and the business hours will gradually increase in the future.

The Haoxi Bookstore located in the Wuting Yingyue Scenic Area on the northwest side of the Nantong Haohe River. It is divided into three halls, A, B, and C. The total area of construction is about 1,200 m2. Only the main hall in the middle area is currently open. The venue is planning to put 7,000 books on the shelves. The books focus on genres such as literature, history, geography, and the biography of celebrities. There is a coffee bar, reading area, stepped reading area, etc. The bookstore also equips with automatic sensor doors, self-service borrow machines, and other equipment. It is a modern urban study room that shares resources with Nantong Library.

The bookstore is integrated with Nantong elements, interweaving modern and classic.

The bookstore is surrounded by transparent floor-to-ceiling windows, making the space very translucent. The centre area is an island-shaped coffee bar and the right side is a stepped reading area. The overhead light is made of 13,000 blue and white acrylic sticks, forming a starry sky in the sea of books, which symbolizes the “lighthouse” that illuminates the readers.

The bookstore shares resources with the Nantong Library, currently in trial operation.

In Haoxi Bookstore, tourists and residents not only can read books during a break, but also can borrow books through the self-service machine. The bookstore implements the policy of “all-borrow and returns” with Nantong Library. The books borrowed by residents in the Nantong Library, the return can carry out at Haoxi Bookstore, and the borrowing and returning data will be exchanged, which is convenient for residents to borrow and return books and enhance the reading experience.

The bookstore will hold reading share conferences from time to time.

The entire urban study room area of the “Haoxi Bookstore” expected to be officially open in May, and Halls B and C will also be open to the public at that time.
