The concert “Elegance of Chinese Music” is a large-scale symphonic concert conducted by Chen Xieyang, a famous Chinese conductor, and performed by Suzhou Symphony Orchestra. The concert performed the representative works of contemporary Chinese composers since the reform and opening up in the form of symphonic music, such as Epic of the Warrior, Life on the Riverbanks of Suzhou, Haixia Suite and The Red Plum Caprice Erhu Concerto. What’s more, the concert skillfully integrated erhu and other Chinese folk music into the symphonic performance, reflecting the characteristics of the combination of Chinese and Western music.

In 2016, the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra (SZS) was founded. Composed of more than 70 outstanding musicians from 20 countries and regions, SZS is a young and professional symphony orchestra which is rapidly evolving. [Show 3] The Nanjing Brocade Fashion Show Writes a Chapter of Fashion Legend（锦绣华服书写时尚传奇 ）
“Zhi Ran Xiu”, which are textile, printing, and embroidery, includes 21 categories of intangible cultural heritage skills and a large quantity of weaving, dyeing and embroidery works. As the premier work of “weaving”, when Nanjing Brocade meets with well-known contemporary Chinese fashion designers, the traditional skills bloom with incredible artistic charm.
As the pioneering leader of “Haute Couture” in China’s fashion industry, Lawrence Xu was the only designer invited twice to the Paris Haute Couture Week in the official schedule as a customization designer for China. He was also invited to hold the cloud brocade show during the Nanjing Week-Milan Expo. The show combined brocades as well as mountains, rivers, cities, and forests in Nanjing with the traditional Chinese culture and art, which perfectly illustrated the classical fashion of China.

In 1957, from the long-standing and magnificent tradition of Chinese puppet performance art, the Yangzhou Puppet Troupe was established and since then, has grown to become well-known at home and abroad for its performance style of “integrating hardness and softness and giving delicate and vivid performance” and the artistic characteristics of “having no real person while being all the more real”.

For more than 60 years since its establishment, the troupe has created and staged many large puppet and doll plays such as The Fairy of Viburnum, Snow White, plays adapted from Chinese and foreign masterpieces such as The Emperor’s New Clothes, Wu Song Fighting the Tiger, and dozens of small and medium-sized singing and dancing programs, and unique skills like Good Luck to You, Lion Dance, Long Silk Dance.
